Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week is an annual campaign coordinated by the Mental Health Foundation and runs from 13th – 19th May 2019.

The week aims to raise awareness of mental health and usually has a targeted theme which changes each year. The theme for 2019 is Body Image – how we think and feel about our bodies.

Body image issues can affect all of us at any age. During the week we will be hosting a range of events in support of Mental Health Awareness Week and this year’s theme. Our Mental Health & Wellbeing Bus will be on the road across Coventry and Warwickshire and stopping in a number of locations.

Plus, our the doors will be open to our Wellbeing Hubs to provide mental health support and people will be encouraged to think positively about themselves and what makes them unique.

Quiz Night in Rugby

We would like to say a big thank you to all who attended a quiz night at Rugby Workers Club in Oliver Street, Rugby, on the evening of Friday 16th November.

They helped raise a total of £270 for Coventry and Warwickshire Mind as one of the Mayor of Rugby’s two chosen charities, to support local people experiencing mental health issues.

It was a great evening with the Mayor of Rugby, Councillor Tom Mahoney, attending to show his support. There was plenty of laughter and tasty food, too, all of which resulted in a great amount to add to the pot of money already raised for the mayor’s charities.

We truly appreciate the efforts of all those who helped raise money to support the mental health services provided here at Coventry and Warwickshire Mind. Also, thanks once again to the Mayor of Rugby for choosing us as one of his charities of the year.
