Time to Talk Day

Time to Talk Day takes place on the first Thursday of February every year, and this year is on Thursday 7 February 2019.

Here at Coventry and Warwickshire Mind, we’re proud to support the national campaign which is an opportunity for everyone to have a conversation about mental health, whether with friends, family or work colleagues.

We would encourage everyone to get involved as Time to Talk Day brings the nation together and gets people talking to break the silence around mental health problems.

Here’s why the day is so important…

Mental health problems affect one in four of us, yet people are still afraid to talk about it.

The purpose of the national campaign is to raise awareness that having conversations about mental health helps break down stereotypes, improves relationships, aids recovery and takes the stigma out of something that affects us all.

There are lots of different ways to have a conversation about mental health, and you don’t have to be an expert to talk.

Find out more about the campaign via the Time to Talk Day website.
